"Storming" heaven with prayers would connote a certain plea which is urgent in nature. In a positive sense, it means that we are sincerely and deeply asking God for His mercy to grant our petitions and requests as soon as possible.
Of course, we know that only God can judge whether "storming" heaven with prayers would be pleasing to Him or not. It is not for us to pass judgment how He accepts the use of the word "storming" - which has been usually associated with disasters and war.
The bottomline here is that - whether heaven was stormed with prayers or not - prayers are always heard and answered. As to how and in what manner or form, it depends on God's will and His time. It may or may not exactly be in way we want it to be but it is certain that what is being given will be for one's own good and salvation.
It is however more fitting and necessary that there should be a universally accepted and appropriate expression which considers the highest respect, glory and honor due to God.
