Life Belongs to God

God has given life and it is only He who takes it away. The point is that "life belongs to God" and no one, not even the person concerned, can take the life of any person or his own. This is basic and logical. We owe it to God who gave us air to breathe, food to eat, water to drink, clother to wear, shelter to protect ourselves from elements and this world where we all live. Our mission is to make the most of our lives and for God's honor and glory. We, as Catholics, are forbidden to kill and that is in any manner - like abortion, euthanasia, or suicide and in any form - aggression, violence, oppression or persecution. In law, if it were intended to save life or prevent the loss of life, then it is called self-defense and even then there are rules of engagement to be followed. It is not a license just because you think it is intended to save life or prevent its loss. The reason must be valid and there is an absolutely certainty of an immediate loss of life if not saved or prevented, and the means employed must be reasonable. It cannot be planned for it will be murder. It cannot be with intent for it will be homicide. It is a situation where it is primarily against your will but were compelled to do it due to justified circumstances.

The message is clear. Life is precious. When we were given life, we were created in the likeness of God and in His Own Image.
