WHEN PRAYERS SEEM EMPTY

We often question why things do not happen the way we want it be despite the fact that we have prayed for it. We are told that it will be - "in God's time" and "if God allows it."

Also, it has always been difficult to understand why is it that prayers seem to be a lonely little voice in the wilderness. Sometimes, one would begin to ask whether the prayer offered is like an empty can and therefore no answer is forthcoming since nothing can be found inside anyway. Even worst, we begin to doubt or question the Divine Will on our prayers.

Do not be tempted. Never question God. He is perfect and we are not. This simply means, He knows what is best for us. But, have we done our best to prepare and merit what we have been praying for? If we did our best, are we ready to receive the blessings and graces that will come to us in response to our prayers? If we are prepared and ready, are we willing to take responsibility that comes with those answers we have been longing for? If we are willing then, are we strong enough to persevere in our faith, and in our battle against any kind or form of evil or unholiness? Are we charity-centric enough to carry out God's will consistently with a prayerful attitude and doing it all for His Glory and not ours?

So. Are your prayers empty?
