The Confessional

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is a very important sacrament. Man was separated from God due to his sins. But God is so great and good that He gave us the opportunity to be reconciled with Him. Hence, Christ died on the cross because, precisely and to reiterate, God wants us to be reconciled with Him. Christ told His disciples to forgive sins. And thus when the Catholic Church was built on the Rock, St. Peter and Christ's apostles, and succeeded by present day Catholic priests have continuously heard confessions and as Christ has instructed them to do, gave absolution.

The photo shows how the Sacrament is given prominence and importance. The confessional box is so elaborate and presented in a manner that one who goes to confession should feel welcome and cared for. This is at the Barasoain Church.
