THE POWER OF REMORSE

Being in a state of remorse may be likened to a raw diamond - where at first the feel is rough and having a blurry appearance. It looks like an ordinary and dirty stone. But thereafter, the rough edges are shaped and smoothened to perfection, that it may later on shine and sparkle to become a best friend forever.

Therefore, when a person has committed a wrong, or may have hurt another, and regrets having done so, it is best that he must go through a process consisting of the following:

Begin with a prayer. Then -

First, there must be an acknowledgement of the wrong done and the realization of concomitant responsibility to repair the damage, either by restitution, explanation or other means of reparation.

Second, apologies have to be conveyed and forgiveness must be sought.

Third, sincere promise or commitment to change or cease from doing the wrong or any other again.

End with a prayer of thanksgiving.

Among the miracles that happen in life is that the impossible becomes possible for God work's in many wondrous ways. Amen.
